About Syrigma and how it came to be
My name is Heidi. I am the founder of Leyna AS who developed the syringe shield Syrigma. I am a radiographer first and foremost. I began my career in nuclear medicine departments in Norway. In my recent role as a research coordinator, I identified a challenge for our study starting up. We wanted to blind the content in the syringe for the patient, as the study was blinded for the patient. After doing som research, I could not find a good solution for this issue . Studies frequently had to improvise ways to conceal syringe contents from patients, and sometimes from clinical staff, using makeshift solutions like tape. Recognizing the need for a more effective, professional solution, I designed and developed Syrigma, a specialized syringe shield. After extensive testing and refinement, Syrigma has been successfully implemented in the PICASSO research project, where it has received positive feedback. We believe Syrigma will make blinded testing safer and more streamlined for clinical teams.
Product description
Standars shield size is fitted for a 1ml syringe, but other sizes can be produced on request.
The two halves of the shield klick together easily with perfect fit.
The shield can be used multiple times and are easy to sanitize after each use.
The shield can be delivered in different colors.
The syringe shield makes it easy to registre correct injected dose, as you can open it after use
The shield may help reduce injection anxiety by covering the syringe, making the process feel less intimidating.
The design ensures that the needle remains securely attached to the syringe, allowing you to remove the cap easily without loosening the needle or exposing its contents
